Teaching and Research Department of Ideological and Political Theory Course, formerly known as Department of Social Sciences Foundation,is responsible for offering the ideological and political theory course, higher education theory course and others for the whole university students and the related research work. The Department has seven teaching and research sections and one research institute. At present, there are 31 full-time teachers, including 5 professors and 14 associate professors. Among the staff, 2 with doctor degrees and 20 with master degrees. Since 2002, nine studies and more than 200 academic papers have been published. Furthermore, one project founded by National Planning Office of Philosophy and Social Science and several projects of Provincial Social Science have been taken. Through actively participating in Ideology Education and Party Lectures sponsored by the university and guiding students’ social practice activities, the Department plays a main role in students’ ideological and political education so as to cultivate the high quality of applied talents.
