School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering,Putian University, founded in 1993, was deeply rooted in sponsoring. There are 42 faculty members, 74% of them have a doctor degree or a master degree, two have been awarded the title of “Outstanding Teacher of Fujian Province” and one is selected into the Program for New Century Excellent Talents of Newly-established University of Fujian Province, etc. The school has provincial experimental teaching demonstration center, engineering research center, comprehensive laboratory and others, with equipment worth of 36 million RMB. 56 scientific research programs，such as provincial education reform pilot project, “ Major Comprehensive Reform Pilot” in provincial universities and others have been undertaken by our teaching team. In addition, 196 papers have been published, 39 of them indexed by SCI, EI and ISTP. two studies have been published and 11 patents obtained. For students’ capacity achievements, hundreds of students have won the first, second or third prizes in kinds of national or provincial competitions. The postgraduate enrollment rate of this year’s graduates has been over 10% and the employment rate of students graduated from the school over 90%.
